Proudest Moments

Posted by: | June 8, 2010 | No Comment |

I have had many proud moments of my life but the most important is trying my best in school.

I have always done my best in school well I at least tried my best to get the best grades and just to get a good reputation. I have never been sent to time out which is good so I don’t get my butt whooped at home. My grades have always been good. I have never gotten less than a B.

I have a good reputation which will hopefully follow me through high school. I have never gotten written up for something. I have though gotten in trouble for talking too much. I have been a talker all my life because of my mom but it’s hard to sit in a classroom quiet listening to the teacher talk on and on but something that sometimes isn’t important.

My grades have a part with my dad. My dad is a teacher and has always pushed me to do my best in everything I do. Of course he helps me when I don’t understand something. I’m lucky that I have someone because kids these days don’t have parents that care.

These have been my proudest moments.

“The Unwritten Rule”

Posted by: | May 11, 2010 | 7 Comments |

This book is about how best friends split apart because of a guy that got in the way. Sarah loves a boy that is her best friend Breanna’s boyfriend. So when Sarah doesn’t tell Breanne that she is in love with Ryan she puts everything in a bad situation. This book is fiction but sometimes you can relate to this in real life. When you love someone you can never seem to forget about them and when Sarah knows she loves Ryan she can’t stop thinking about how perfect he seems to be.

The three main characters are Sarah, Ryan, and Breanna. At this party these people had in the summer. Ryan and Sarah were together until Breanna saw him and wanted Ryan. After the party roan called Sarah but said he wanted Breanna.

As the book goes on you find out that Ryan has always wanted Sarah ever since 7th grade. Sarah has always loved Ryan right from the start. The worst thing is, is how Ryan handled the two girls. He was going out with Breanna but he still kissed Sarah and told her how he always has wanted her. When he called after the party he was too scared to tell her how he felt because he didn’t know if she felt the same way about him.

At the end of this book Breanna and ryan broke up. That night him and sarah spent the night together talking, kissing and just looking at eachother. When Breanna walked in on them it occurred to me that they wouldn’t be friends anymore because of the whole situation.

The theme is young love. When they talk about the unwritten rule its : Never like a boy ur friend likes especially when it’s their boyfriend. The thing is that sarah can never stop thinking about the kisses they have shared and the moments that happen between them. There isn’t anything more special then love and when you have it you never want to let go.

Even in today’s world girls fight over boys like they are candy. If a guy ever came in between me and my friend I would just let her have them because you know how that person is so you would think they would take care of them.

I like these types of books because you can relate to the everyday world.

Live Life as a wave let it flow,

Beautiful Life no tragedy’s

Quick, but always have time to think

Happy , Scared, but tired as a sloth

Chewy, Sweet, Delicous everything

Everything has ataste

Tangy flavored toothpaste

One Bad day, Everything seems sad

Different Days are coming

So just live life

“Touched by an Angel”

Posted by: | April 27, 2010 | No Comment |

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths
among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects,
and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell, as if in water,
grappling with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.

This poem is about how to just relax and let everything flow by.

Woman Work

Posted by: | April 15, 2010 | 1 Comment |
I’ve got the children to tend
The clothes to mend
The floor to mop
The food to shop
Then the chicken to fry
The baby to dry
I got company to feed
The garden to weed
I’ve got shirts to press
The tots to dress
The can to be cut
I gotta clean up this hut
Then see about the sick
And the cotton to pick.

Shine on me, sunshine
Rain on me, rain
Fall softly, dewdrops
And cool my brow again.

Storm, blow me from here
With your fiercest wind
Let me float across the sky
‘Til I can rest again.

Fall gently, snowflakes
Cover me with white
Cold icy kisses and
Let me rest tonight.

Sun, rain, curving sky
Mountain, oceans, leaf and stone
Star shine, moon glow
You’re all that I can call my own

In this Poem its saying how woman have times through their lives when they have to do everything. They have to take care of everybody in their family and themselves. They need to do all the chores around the house because back then the woman took care of everyone and the family while working and cleaning the house. Sometimes the woman just need to relax and stop working and just sit their and appreciate life and whats going on around them.

Middle school sports for spring have just started. We have start softball. This is one of my favorite sports and it helps when I play with my friends. We have somewhat of a good team the only problem with these girls is that thye dont try hard enough and Im not going to sit here and criticize since I know we all have bad days but everyone juts needs to try. Also I think that if you tried out for the sport you should always try your best and have fun. Theres no point for you do be so hard on yourself and dont have fun. You should always have fun no matter what you do.

We have also been testing. Theres nothing more boring then the D.S.TP. I know we should take our time and do good on it but most of the stuff is easy and we have been taught it so many times over and over and we should be able to do it with ease.

There’s nothing worse than having to be moved all the way across the United States. Lucy moved from San Francisco to Long Island New York. Her mom died when she was three and her dad got married to Mara. The book called, If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where’s My Prince? Really tells a story about How Lucy thinks her life is turning into a Fairy Tale.

Lucy is the reason I like this book because she realizes that people lives could become a fairy tale and the prince charming isn’t always the person you think it’s going to be. Author Melissa tells us how that in the beginning of a new marriage and trying to become one family isn’t always easy to do. Mara was first divorced and then she’s married to Lucy’s dad.

Mara has two daughters Lucy addresses them as Princess 1 and Princess 2. Lucy has this huge crush on Connor who is a basketball star. Lucy knows everything about basketball. But when Madison and Jessica tell Lucy that Connor likes her everything changed for Lucy from being an outcast and a new girl to a known popular girl. Lucy and her father both like art, they go to the museums together just the two of them. Lucy always went to the art room because that was the only place she felt comfortable in.

Then there’s this boy named Sam he is one of the best artist in the high school. Lucy always tried to talk to Sam but he just seems like he doesnt want to talk to her. Sam gave an invitation to one of his mom’s art openings, but Lucy never until she finally talked to him there. Later on the night she had to leave to go to.

Lucy thought Connor was the one but when they went to the prom everything changed!

Lucy and her family went to Madison’s before prom party. They took pictures and got ready for the prom at Madison’s house. That’s when Lucy realized that she just has to get used to having Mara as her new mom. Also that Long Island is now Her new home.

At the prom Lucy felt sad because she had created feelings for Sam. When she told her friends she had to go to the bathroom she ran into Sam and his girlfriend. There were fighting so Lucy just listened. During the fight Connor and Kathryn were dancing on the dance floor and they weren’t acting friends they were becoming way friendlier. So Lucy walked back seeing Connor and she told him she was going to leave and he said nothing else but see ya what a good boyfriend right?

The Theme of this book is Teen Romance. It seems so real on how you can relate it to yourself. Even though we are just teens and we don’t know what Love really means we think we do know. We think that once we have a boyfriend he is the love of our lives but it doesn’t always turn out this way. Sometimes we see right through the person that really is our true love, it just doesn’t “click”

Right when she walked out Sam came running towards her. He took off his glasses and told her he liked her. He said he never thought that this would happen and that if she didn’t want to consider Connor has her prince charming anymore he would always be there for her. They kissed and they rode off on carriages in Manhattan, New York.

Who said your life couldn’t be a Fairy Tale?

Snowed In With A Friend!

Posted by: | February 19, 2010 | No Comment |

Two weeks ago, it started snowing; we were off from school for a week! On Monday my friend came over, her name’s Sarah.

We made snowmen; well it was a couple, a girl and a boy. We kept walking from my house to the woods. It was tiring with all the clothes we had on, and we kept sinking because of the snow drifts. We made snow angels and imprints of our body by falling backwards into the snow. That night Sarah and I went outside to see what snow was like at night, like if there were different feelings.

In the beginning we ran around in the backyard and I scared her by saying “Look there’s someone out there”. Towards the end, we just sat down in the snow and just talked about everything that was going on. Sometimes snow can be fun but other times not. Snow can be calming by just sitting there, especially at night when you can lay there and look up at the sky to just think about anything that’s going on in your life, even when it’s cold it’s nice to be outside.

The next day Sarah’s came to pick her up, but when she got to my house I came with them. I was with Sarah for five days because I got snowed in with her and her family. We didn’t do much except sit, eat, and watch TV basically everything you do when you are bored. On Wednesday we went outside to play in the snow and it was snowing again. When the snow came down at us it stung and was very cold. We made a snowman with hair and his name was Baby Beluga Jr. On Thursday my dad came and got me.

Being with friends are fun but sometimes makes you miss being with your family.
